In November 2023, Xiaomi Youpin asked us to develop a Bluetooth electric toothbrush that pairs with a mobile app. We developed the hardware and software in parallel, delivered the first sample within 30 days, and completed mass production of 10,000 units in 70 days with zero delay.

▎The challenge
The app had to record brushing sessions, analyse cleaning coverage, and guide users toward better brushing habits. The whole development cycle had to fit into just 45 days.
▎How we worked together
1. November 2023: Xiaomi Youpin sent the Bluetooth toothbrush request.
2. 30+ days of R&D: hardware and software were developed side by side.
3. 15 days of assembly: the first sample was completed within 30 days.
4. 20 days of internal testing: strict testing and calibration.
5. 8 Bluetooth upgrades: we kept optimising until the app connection was stable.
6. Day 40: the sample reached the client.
7. 3 weeks of client testing: all app functions were verified.
8. Order confirmed: mass production was completed in 70 days, with no delays.
